Westhampton College Outdoor Adventure

Happy trails to you! That is hiking, mountain, and biking trails to be exact!

WC Outdoor Adventure is both a pre-orientation experience, as well as a living-learning community for students who have passion for nature and the vastness of its beauty.

The program begins with a three-day experience off-campus at Challenge Discovery where students can discuss transition issues to college and relationships, as well as develop relationships with a faculty or staff member and their peers in the program prior to going into the general new student orientation program. Note that students in the community will move to campus on Sunday, August 14, 2011.

Then during the fall semester, students will have the opportunity to participate in a variety of meaningful events including:

  • Saturdays on the James River
  • Overnight trip to the Great Dismal Swamp
  • Rock Climbing
  • Explore the city of Richmond, including the canal walk, Belle Isle, Pony Pasture, Maymont and much more!
