Apply to be a Resident Assistant

Each living-learning community and Sophomore Scholars in Residence community has a dedicated resident assistant (RA). In addition to the normal responsibilities (like community building, programming, and policy enforcement), RA's for living-learning and SSIR communities serve in a leadership role within the community and work with the faculty members for many elements of the class and experiential learning.

The process for RA selection occurs every January–Februray and consists of an application, and two phases of interviews, including an interview with the faculty member of the community. Students interested in applying to be an RA for a SSIR or one of our other living-learning communities, should apply through Residence Life.

The RA application deadline for the 2018–19 academic year has passed. The annual RA application and selection process occurs between November–February.

If you have questions regarding the resident assistant position, please contact Patrick Benner, director of residence life and undergraduate student housing.
