The Richmond Endeavor

The Richmond Endeavor

The Richmond Endeavor is the University of Richmond’s premiere living-learning experience for first-year students. The Richmond Endeavor is designed for students to create meaningful bonds and friendships with their fellow classmates, develop a relationship with a faculty member during their first year at Richmond, and connect their interests both inside and outside of the classroom.

Defining Features of Endeavor

Endeavor is a distinctive year-long experience that begins the summer before you arrive to campus and continues through your spring semester. Students choose a topic (listed below) and take linked courses in your fall and spring semester, as well as:
  • Have a dedicated faculty academic advisor
  • Live together as a cohort in Lora Robins Court residence hall
  • Participate in the Endeavor Pre-Orientation program
  • Have a peer mentor, called a Navigator, to guide you throughout your first-year
  • Participate in outside the classroom experiences on-campus, in Richmond, and the region
  • Make friends and find a group of other students who share common interests

The application for Endeavor opens April 1, 2025
