Community Travel
Students will also take a trip over Fall Break to Boston, where we can explore a variety of educational systems, from urban to suburban, public to private, charter, magnet, and open, college preparatory to vocational/technical.

Fall Break
While in Boston, the community will:
- Take a literary walking tour highlighting the homes and haunts of such prominent Victorians as Ralph Waldo Emerson, Nathaniel Hawthorne, Henry David Thoreau, Louisa May Alcott, Henry James, Charles Dickens, and Henry Wadsworth Longfellow
- Visit the Harvard School of Education to meet with scholars in education
- Visit the Louisa May Alcott’s Orchard House
- Visit Sleepy Hollow Cemetery
- Visit Concord Museum, which houses Ralph Waldo Emerson’s study and Henry David Thoreau’s bed, desk, and chair from Walden Pond
- Visit Walden Pond and Thoreau Cabin Site
- Visit and meet with officials at the American Antiquarian Society
- Visit Excel Academy Charter Schools
- Visit Boston Latin School
- Visit the Museum of African American History's Abiel Smith School and African Meeting House
- Visit the Research Department of the Boston Public Library
