Community Travel
Over Thanksgiving break the Travel for Discovery community will travel to Rome, one of the cradles of Western civilization. By experiencing in the “Eternal City”, students will travel in space and time through the greatness of the Roman Empire, the origins of Christianity, the brilliant spirit of the Renaissance, the architectural wonders of the Baroque, and not least, the legendary warmth of Roman hospitality and its great cuisine.
Rome and Istanbul
November 20–28, 2015
While in Rome, students will:

Visit the Vatican, St. Peter's Square, and the Sistine Chapel

Visit Santissima Trinità dei Monti and the Spanish Steps

Tour the Roman Colosseum and Forum

Tour the many Roman churches

Attend La Traviata, an opera by Verdi, at Church of S. Paolo Entro le Mura
